No, we offer guided trips for first timers through to experienced anglers. Tuition is fully included in the days guiding and we love teaching beginners how to fly fish!

No, everything you need for a comfortable and safe day on the water is supplied. We provide top quality waders, wading boots, rods and accessories as part of the guiding cost. We will give you some details on the most appropriate and recommended clothing to wear as part of our pre trip planning 

The location we fish will be determined by a number of factors. firstly we take into account your desired experience and what it is you want out of your days guiding. additionally we consider your fly casting experience and ability, physical fitness and ability, and of course what Trent determines is the best location for that time of year and the weather on the day 

Guide prices stated allow for up to 2 anglers, this is logistically the most practical as any more than this and your fishing time will be significantly diluted between each angler. Additional anglers can be included in specific scenarios in consultation with us. 

Absolutely, all rivers we guide on are public and you may wish to return by yourself to put into practice the skills you learnt with your guide. It is however important to respect the location, practice catch & release, and rest the spot adequately, and not go back day after day to flog the location so that the trout population can be appropriately maintained 

Most of the time there will not be any mobile phone reception. We will give indicative pick up and drop off times so that you can communicate this with anyone as needed. Whilst we do travel into locations with no cell service, Trent has a Garmin in-reach with satelite messaging and SOS functionality in case of emergency and always leaves a detailed plan of the day and expected return time with an emergency contact who monitors this.

Keeping the fish for consumption or taxidermy is prohibited on our guided trips. We encourage catch and release angling to preserve and improve the trout population. we recommend trying one of our surrounding lakes or pondages that are regularly stocked if you wish to keep your catch
